Join us as we kick off an unforgettable weekend of Jubilee celebrations with an evening of drinks, nibbles, and reconnections. Toast to half a century of Havelock North High School's legacy and the incredible accomplishments of our alumni and community.
Guests will receive a complimentary drink on arrival, with a cash bar available. Don’t miss this chance to mingle, reminisce, and start the Jubilee festivities with a bang as we celebrate this milestone together!

Havelock North High School 50th Jubilee ‘Back to School’ Open Day
When: Saturday 3rd May 2025, 10am - 3pm
Where: Havelock North High School, 153 Te Mata Road, Havelock North
Take a trip down memory lane and celebrate five decades of Havelock North High School at our 50th Jubilee 'Back to School' Open Day!
Enjoy this great opportunity to reconnect with old classmates and teachers, reminisce about shared memories, and see how the school has grown and changed over the years.
Tour familiar classrooms, rediscover your favourite spots, and take in a wide range of performances from past and present students. Explore exhibitions of school history and enjoy presentations from current teachers and students around the campus.
We’ll be organising group photos for alumni in five-year graduation groups, so you’ll be able to stand alongside classmates and teachers from your time at Havelock North High School. From the early years through to recent graduates, each group will have their chance to reunite and pose together for a photo to commemorate the Jubilee.
A full schedule of events, including timings for year group photos, will be released in March. Register your attendance and you will receive a copy of the schedule via email as soon as it has been finalised.

Join us for a spectacular evening of music, history, and community as we celebrate Havelock North High School’s 50th Jubilee with an unforgettable concert in what will be the official opening of the school’s refurbished auditorium!
Featuring performances from past and present students, this special event will showcase the school's rich legacy in the performing arts. Be captivated by:
- Geoff Sewell - renowned tenor and global multi-platinum recording artist
- HNHS Alumni Choir - bringing together members from five decades of choral excellence
- Te Kapa Haka o Maungawharau Tāwhito - an inspiring alumni kapa haka performance
4 pm - 5.30 pm: Pre-show drinks and nibbles while you catch up with old schoolmates
5.30 - 7.30 pm: 50th Jubilee Concert
