Jena Gregory went on an unbeaten run to win the North Island Under-15 Squash Championship in Whangarei recently. Jena, who plays as a B1 player, was second seed at the tournament, where she defeated top seed, Natalie Sayers, from Auckland 3-1 in the final. The win in the final was quite remarkable, as Sayers had won an Australian age-group championship last year. Jena has improved immensely over the last two years, coming from an E grade player to a B grader in that short period of time.

Jena now looks forward to joining her school team-mates to compete in the New Zealand Secondary School Squash Championships in Palmerston North in a couple of weeks and also taking part in the National Squash Championships in Christchurch.
